Lisa Wilkens Prints
Lisa Wilkens’ work is fundamentally based in drawing and the understanding and exploration of images, their reproduction and development through drawing. Her interest in images is connected to their political and historical context and function. The drawn image offers a platform to address present situations and developments and to imagine and discuss a possible future. Biography Lisa Wilkens was born in Berlin in 1978. She completed a degree in scientific illustration at the University of the Arts, Zurich Switzerland and an MA in Visual Arts at Camberwell College, University of the Arts London. She is now participating in the Advanced Studies & Practice-based Research in Visual Arts at the HISK (Higher Institute of Fine Arts) in Ghent, Belgium. Her work is exhibited in various locations such as Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2011, Kettle’s Yard Cambridge 2012, Saatchi Gallery 2013, Wysing Arts Centre 2014, Charlie Smith London 2015, 68 Projects Berlin 2016, Little HISK 2017.
