Abi Goodman
Abi Goodman is conceptual artist with interests in politics, participatory art and satire. In my past work she has explored whether people can create their own personal manifestos solely using text from advertisements in their local area. Abi's current work involves the exploration and re-presentation of famous manifestos (from Marx & Engel's 'Communist Manifesto' to Russell Brand's 'Revolution') to communicate their essence or give them a satirical spin. Abi likes to experiment with different representations of the same source text. Abi is fascinated by the interplay between text and image, and the idea of the book as a sculptural form - communicating through both its form and content.
